NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – In a first for the company, East Coast Warehouse & Distribution will make its South Carolina debut by establishing an operation in North Charleston.
Described as a “leading temperature-controlled logistics provider,” East Coast Warehouse & Distribution will be operating services for the food and beverage industry in Charleston County and beyond starting in the summer of 2025.
“This new facility – our first in the market – will allow us to expand our footprint, improve productivity, maximize flexibility and offer increased speed to customers in the greater Charleston area,” East Coast Warehouse & Distribution CEO Jamie Overley said.
The company is set to invest $14.5 million and create 52 new jobs.
“East Coast Warehouse & Distribution’s $14.5 million investment and the 52 new jobs it will create underscore the strength of the logistics industry in Charleston County and across our state,” said Governor Henry McMaster. “We congratulate the company on this announcement and look forward to its success in South Carolina.”
The new facility will be located at 2015 Tellico Road and operate as a part of North Charleston’s Shipyard Creek Logistics Center. It will sit on 17.6 acres of land and have an additional 9 acres for the parking and storage of 350 trailers and containers. The warehouse space itself will take up 259,000 square feet.
East Coast Warehouse & Distribution currently operates in New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Savannah.
