GREENWOOD COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Department of Social Services charged a Greenwood County woman with fraudulently receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.
Social Services agents report Erin Barber, 48-years-old, fraudulently received $21,445.00 in food stamps.
Barber is charged with fraudulent acquisition or use of food stamps, greater than $10,000. She was booked into the Greenwood County Detention Center.
The South Carolina Department of Social Services says it is dedicated to eradicating fraud, waste, abuse, and misconduct in programs administered by the agency.
