GoodDays Canned Cocktails, established in Athens, Georgia, offers a way to enjoy your favorite classics without the usual effort.
Founders Jason Miller and Matt Beacham, who are both Georgia natives, collaborated to create the canned cocktail, GoodDays. They formed the concept after seeing the success of the hydration drink and their former employer, BIOLYTE.
After Beacham and Miller’s time at BIOLYTE, they took a liking to the beverage world and used their prior knowledge and things they learned to create GoodDays. Beacham said authenticity is top of mind for their brand, and they want to offer drinks that can be enjoyed on many different occasions for people to associate memories with.
“When I was looking back on some notes about what we wanted the brand to be about, it was all about just people getting together, having a good time, sharing a drink together,” Beacham said. “GoodDays just felt right, felt natural.”

Beacham and Miller said they start by mixing the cocktails right in their kitchen to determine what might translate to a canned formula, and it is then sent off to Columbus, Georgia for manufacturing. Beacham and Miller said they work with suppliers and manufacturers that have a good reputation in the business in order to ensure the high quality of their products.
“We really set out on a mission to have a better tasting canned cocktail than anything else that’s on the market,” Beacham said. “I feel like we’ve done a good job of fulfilling that mission.”
The brand offers three specialized canned cocktails. As a take on the classic Sea Breeze, their first drink, Porch Swing, is a blend of vodka and cranberry with a touch of grapefruit. Better Nights is a twist on the classic margarita minus the tequila, with a vodka-rita featuring a touch of lime and agave. Last, The Heater, which is a whiskey-based cocktail and similar to the American classic, is a whiskey sour. All three cocktails have an ABV that ranges from 6.4% to 8.5%.
GoodDays can be enjoyed by anyone over 21, and Beacham said their target demographic includes younger professionals, active people and people that have a general appreciation for cocktails.
“[The ideal customer is] people that are just social, they like to get together with friends and family,” Beacham said. “I feel like the product lends itself a lot to an outdoor atmosphere.”
GoodDays hits close to home because it was developed right here in Athens.
“Me and [Miller] have both been in many different types of businesses. Business has its seriousness, but at the same time, we just wanted to create a product that was just fun,” Beachamsaid.
Although GoodDays is just kicking off, Beacham and Miller have continued more brewing behind the scenes. Beacham said they plan to roll out a gin-based drink in the fall, and are currently working to expand their business outside of Georgia.
GoodDays can be found in over 100 locations across Georgia, including On the Way Package, Five Points Bottle Shop and more.
