CLEVELAND, Ohio — The start of recreational marijuana sales in Ohio felt like a new era for Greater Cleveland. Aside from smoking legal weed, several varieties of marijuana-infused edibles are available for foodies looking to partake.
In the latest episode of “DineDrinkCLE: The Podcast,” host Alex Darus chats with Peter Chakerian about the wide variety of marijuana edibles available in Northeast Ohio. The offerings go far beyond THC-infused gummies and chocolates. Olive oils, honey, sugars, drinks and more are all available in edible form, and the two discuss how the products could affect the Greater Cleveland culinary scene.
Then, Paris Wolfe stops by the show to talk about foraging for food. From berries to mushrooms, Wolfe has personal experience foraging in Northeast Ohio and provides tips for those interested in trying it out.
Plus, she discusses a guided foraging event from chef Jeremy Umansky from Larder Delicatessen she attended and future events for those looking to forage their own food.
Chakerian re-joins the show to break down how he and Best Of Cleveland partner Yadi Rodriguez ranked 38 different Little Debbie’s snacks. Chakerian discusses some of the worst bites the two tried, alongside some surprising new favorites from the nostalgic brand.
