Sometimes scrolling TikTok is torture. Perfectly chopped chicken caesar wraps are followed by a massive plate of rigatoni alla vodka. By the time smash burger patties are sizzling on the Blackstone, I’m usually wishing my FYP would come to life right before my eyes. And this weekend, it will.
The new Yes Chef Food Fest will take place in Williamsburg on August 10 and 11, featuring more than 20 of NYC’s most popular restaurants that have blown up on TikTok in recent years. Curated by Jack Goldburg and Liam Henning, the duo behind the popular account Jack’s Dining Room, the event will bring together restaurants like Arthur & Sons, Taqueria Ramirez, Pecking House, Mama’s Too (some of the best pizza the city has to offer), and many more.
In addition to tons of viral foods available for purchase, there will be free stations where attendees can do caviar bumps, watch Oysters XO shuck 900 bivalves, try freshly carved bluefin tuna from a 300-pound fish provided by Sushi by Bou, and try a new flavor from Chip City Cookies made exclusively for the event.
“Yes Chef Food Fest is our way of celebrating the incredible diversity and creativity of New York City’s culinary scene,” says Liam Henning, co-founder of Jack’s Dining Room. “This festival is not just about great food; it’s about sharing our passion for culinary storytelling with the community and making it a summer event to remember.”
The festival will be held at BK Backyard from noon to 10 pm both days of the weekend. Tickets to the festival are available online and start at $25.
