CLEVELAND, Ohio – If you think Terry Francona became involved with a local restaurant company because he’s a total foodie who loves to saunter to different restaurants and hobnob with chefs, you’d be wrong.
“I ate the majority of my meals at the ballpark. That’s where I wanted to be,” said Francona, who managed Cleveland from 2013 to 2023. “I hated hotels. For someone to travel that much, I’d lose my mind at hotels. I got to the ballpark absurdly early, and I don’t think it was because I was a workaholic. I think it was because I hated being in the hotel room.”
