A man and woman in South Carolina were reportedly arrested in connection to a fight that broke out over unseasoned chicken.
Hope Harper and her brother Anthony Harper were each charged with assault and battery following the poultry problem, according to WCBD.

Citing the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, the media outlet said deputies responded to a house Sunday night about an assault in progress. When they arrived at the home, they were told Hope asked Anthony “why he didn’t season the chicken that was cooking so it could crust up.”
Anthony, according to WCBD, said he thought their grandmother planned to season it. Hope then reportedly called Anthony “a dumb dog,” with Anthony pushing her into a table and punching her multiple times.
As the fight ensued, “someone else in the home came into the room and fired a 9mm handgun into the ceiling,” WCBD reported. “Hope Harper then went into the kitchen and grabbed a steak knife, at which point Anthony Harper, fearing for his life, ran to his grandmother’s door.”
The media outlet noted that while Hope “started swinging the knife toward her brother,” their grandmother interviewed by grabbing a broom and swatting it at her granddaughter.
“Anthony Harper then grabbed a can of Raid bug spray and sprayed Hope Harper on the face and neck,” the media outlet reported. “Hope Harper took the can away and sprayed him back.”
The reported noted the siblings, who pressed charges against one another, were later released on bond.
