START YOUR MORNING. RIGHT. GOOD MORNING. WELCOME BACK HERE TO THE LOCAL VIBE. AUGUST IS RECOGNIZED AS NATIONAL BLACK BUSINESS MONTH. AND TO COMMEMORATE TWO LOCAL VIBE FAVORITES ARE TEAMING UP TO BRING A FREE AND FUN EVENT TO THE TRIAD TONIGHT. YEAH, EAT, DRINK TRIAD AND THE BUY BLACK GUIDE ARE HOSTING A LOCAL FOOD SHOWCASE. IT WILL BE AT THE HENDRIX BAR AND LOUNGE IN GREENSBORO. ALL RIGHT, WELL, LET’S SAY GOOD MORNING TO TAMARA JEFFRIES, THE OWNER OF THE BUY BLACK GUIDE. GOOD MORNING. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING HERE. AS ALWAYS. GOOD MORNING. ALWAYS GREAT TO BE HERE. WELL, HOW DID THIS EVENT AND COLLABORATION COME TO BE? ABSOLUTELY. SO THE COLLABORATION BETWEEN EAT DRINK, TRIAD AND THE BUY BLACK GUIDE CAME ABOUT QUITE ORGANICALLY. SO EAT DRINK TRIAD HOSTS MONTHLY SHOWCASES TO UNITE FOOD AND BEVERAGE COMMUNITY MEMBERS EVERY MONTH. AND WITH NATIONAL BLACK BUSINESS MONTH IN FULL SWING, IT WAS A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO SHINE A SPOTLIGHT ON A BLACK OWNED BUSINESS. SO EAT DRINK TRIAD HAS DONE AN AMAZING JOB OF BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER AROUND FOOD, DRINK, AND LOCAL CULTURE. AND WITH THE BUY BLACK GUIDE, OUR MISSION IS TO EMPOWER AND ELEVATE BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES. AND SO THIS PARTNERSHIP ALLOWS US TO COMBINE OUR STRENGTHS AND OFFER MUCH NEEDED VISIBILITY AND SUPPORT TO A VITAL SEGMENT OF OUR COMMUNITY. SO WE’RE SUPER EXCITED TO SHOWCASE THE HENDRIX BAR AND LOUNGE AT THIS EVENT. THIS IS GREAT. THIS MAY BE ONE OF THE FIRST TIMES THAT TWO, YOU KNOW, REGULARS ON THE LOCAL VIBE HAVE COMBINED FORCES TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS. SO I WAS JUST HERE YESTERDAY. HE WAS JUST TALKING ABOUT SOME OTHER THINGS TOO. TAMARA, CAN YOU TELL US MORE ABOUT THE LOCATION WHERE IS THIS BEING HELD? ABSOLUTELY. SO IT’S BEING HELD AT THE HENDRIX BAR AND LOUNGE, WHICH WAS FOUNDED BY CARY SMALLS AND JAMAL RUSSELL. AND IT IS AN ELEVATED SPEAKEASY LOUNGE EXPERIENCE LOCATED IN GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA. BUT IT’S NOT JUST A LOUNGE. IT’S AN EXPERIENCE THAT CAPTURES THE SENSES, ENHANCES COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIPS, AND OFFERS A UNIQUELY EXCITING ATMOSPHERE. SO AT THE HENDRIX, GUESTS CAN ENJOY AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A POSH, UPSCALE SETTING THAT TRANSPORTS YOU FROM EVERYDAY LIFE. THE HENDRIX IS KNOWN FOR ITS CRAFTED COCKTAILS AND THE BEST OF TODAY’S HOTTEST MUSIC HITS. IT’S TRULY A PLACE WHERE THE COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER TO ENJOY SOMETHING SPECIAL AND INCLUDED IN THAT. TOWER CAMERA YOU’RE OFFERING FOOD COMPLIMENTARY TASTING AS WELL. TELL US ABOUT THE FOOD FOR SURE, BECAUSE WHAT’S AN EVENT WITHOUT FOOD, RIGHT? SO THE TASTING WILL FEATURE GOURMET BITES PROVIDED BY ELEVATED CATERING. THEY WILL BE OFFERING A SELECTION OF DISHES THAT HIGHLIGHT THEIR CULINARY EXPERTISE. SO THE MENU INCLUDES ITEMS LIKE BLUE LUMP CRAB, SHORT RIB TOAST, AS WELL AS A VEGETARIAN AND VEGAN OPTION. WHILE ELEVATED CATERING IS A BLACK OWNED BUSINESS, THEIR OFFERINGS PERFECTLY COMPLEMENT THE HIGH END, DIVERSE EXPERIENCE THAT WE’RE CRAFTING AT THE HENDRIX, SO WE’RE VERY EXCITED TO WORK WITH THEM AS WELL. YEAH, IT LOOKS REALLY GREAT, AND SOME OF THESE PREVIEW PICTURES THAT WE’RE SHOWING, SO WE HEAR THERE’S ALSO A NETWORKING ASPECT TO THIS. WHY DID YOU WANT TO MAKE THAT A COMPONENT OF THIS EVENT. FOR SURE. SO INCLUDING THE NETWORKING ASPECT WAS ESSENTIAL BECAUSE THIS EVENT IS MORE THAN JUST ENJOYING GREAT FOOD AND GREAT DRINKS. IT’S ALSO ABOUT FOSTERING RELATIONSHIPS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. SO BY BRINGING TOGETHER FOODIES, CONTENT CREATORS AND LOCAL BUSINESS OWNERS, WE’RE CREATING AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE CONNECTIONS CAN BE MADE THAT LEAD TO FUTURE COLLABORATIONS, SUPPORT AND GROWTH. SO WE WANTED TO PROVIDE A SPACE WHERE PEOPLE COULD COME TOGETHER, SHARE IDEAS AND STRENGTHEN THE COMMUNITY, AND NETWORKING IS KEY TO BUILDING RESILIENT AND THRIVING LOCAL ECONOMY, ESPECIALLY FOR BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES. YEAH, TAMARA, YOU JUST MENTIONED A FEW GROUPS THAT WOULD PROBABLY BENEFIT FROM THIS, BUT WHO ARE YOU ENCOURAGING TO COME OUT TO THIS FOR SURE. SO THIS EVENT IS OPEN FOR EVERYONE. EVERYONE WHO’S PASSIONATE ABOUT SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESSES AND EXPERIENCING THE EXPERIENCING THE BEST THAT OUR COMMUNITY HAS TO OFFER. BUT WE ESPECIALLY ENCOURAGE THOSE FOODIES AND CONTENT CREATORS AND LOCAL ENTREPRENEURS TO ATTEND BECAUSE IT’S A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT WITH LIKE MINDED INDIVIDUALS AND EXPLORE NEW OPPORTUNITIES. BUT REALLY, ANYONE WHO ENJOYS GOOD FOOD, GOOD DRINKS AND GOOD COMPANY WILL FIND SOMETHING THAT THEY LOVE FOR SURE. WHO DOESN’T LOVE THAT? ALL THREE OF US LOVE ALL THREE OF THOSE THINGS YOU SAID? TAMARA. THANK YOU. GOT IT. WELL THANK YOU. WE APPRECIATE THAT. WELL, WE HOPE THAT TONIGHT REALLY GOES OFF WITH A BANG. TAMARA, THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. AND THIS LOCAL FOOD SHOWCASE IS% FROM FIVE UNTIL EIGHT. IT WILL BE HELD AT THE HENDRIX BAR AND LOUNGE IN GREENSBORO. THAT’S LOCATE
